Armenian Rapid Chess Championship dedicated to the memory of Ashot Anastasian

Today, the 2026 Armenian Rapid Chess Championship, organized by the Armenian Chess Federation in memory of Ashot Anastasian, took place.

GM Karen Grigoryan became the champion with 6 points out of 7.

GM Zaven Andriasian, GM Manuel Petrosyan and GM Tigran Harutyunyan scored 5.5 points.

Based on tie-breaks, GM Zaven Andriasian became the vice-champion, and GM Manuel Petrosyan became the bronze medalist.

GM Tigran Harutyunyan finished 4th, while IM Arsen Davtyan took the 5th place with 5 points.

IM Ashot Nadanian showed the best result among seniors.

WGM Mariam Mkrtchyan showed the best result among women.

CM Volodya Torosyan showed the best result in the U16 category.
